Whether you are furnishing a room, redecorating an entire home or simply want help styling your bookshelves, our expert interior designers will provide personalized design services. Collaborate in person, by phone, or online—it’s your choice!
Our professional designers have decades of experience at premier companies including AvroKO, Scully & Scully, Hampton Design, Kravet, and Markzeff. We’ll partner you with the designer who best understands your aesthetic and needs. Because it’s not about steering you to a particular trend or look; it’s all about helping you live your style. If you’d like, after you book your appointment you can request a portfolio and choose your designer.
After purchasing your package, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to book your appointment. We will also create a project in your One Kings Lane account page with a link to book from there—just click "My Account" in the upper right corner of our home page or sign in, and select the "Design Projects" subheading.
Of course! Our designers would be delighted to answer your questions and help you choose the best package for you. Please contact us at 212-430-7800 or by email at interiordesign@onekingslane.com
Plenty of time! You can book your appointment up to six months after your purchase.
If you want to work with a specific designer, email us at interiordesign@onekingslane.com so that we can arrange it.
Of course! Keep as many or as few items as you like. You'll be able to upload photos of what you're keeping so that your designer can work with these items.
After you purchase your service package, you'll take our Style Quiz and tell us about your style, tastes, and design preferences. We will then match you with the designer who best meets your style. And remember, the process is collaborative! Within your 30 day assistance window, you can exchange ideas with your designer. You'll also be able to give feedback and rate your designs and selected products on our online platform.
You can book up to four weeks in advance. If a time you want is not available, check back or email us at interiordesign@onekingslane.com. We'll do our best to find a time that works for you.
Once you book a consultation, you'll be prompted to complete a style questionnaire and provide additional information about your project and your style. We've designed the questionnaire as a fun interactive tool to gather all the input we need to make your appointment personalized and productive, so grab a cup of tea and tell us your story.
Absolutely. You can cancel or reschedule your consultation via your confirmation email (the subject line is "Your appointment at One Kings Lane Interior Design is confirmed"). Please do so at least 24 hours in advance to allow other clients to take your time slot.
Your designer will come to the initial consultation with ideas and product recommendations. (That's why you should be sure to complete the design questionnaire; the more information you provide, the more productive your appointment will be.) You'll leave your initial consultation with a clear, actionable direction for any projects you're working on and a shopping list of items that can help you live your style.
After booking your appointment, you will be prompted to complete a comprehensive questionnaire that asks you about your style, project size, budget, current items in your home, etc. Pictures of your current space, floor plans, measurements, and inspirational images will also help your designer. Feel free to email any additional images or information to interiordesign@onekingslane.com prior to your appointment.
There is no obligation or pressure to purchase during sessions with your designer. (But once you see what we have to offer, we know you'll find something you love.)
A design concept is the overall look and feel of a space; many designers use mood boards to communicate their concept. The layout is more detailed, showing suggested furnishings and where they would be positioned in a room. Revisions allow for tweaks of a layout—swapping out one sofa for another, for instance—rather than all-new layouts.
If you'd like, your designer can come to your home to oversee the installation and placement of your furnishings. (Additional fees apply.)
